I am very honoured to be giving this special award to one of our most outstanding year 4 librarians.
Cameron Nauk

Cameron was very keen to become a school librarian ever since year 2, and I have had to keep telling him, “not yet Cameron another year to go.  He was literally pleading to be a librarian, so we gave him a little taster at the end of his year 3 level and here we are today.

Cameron is the only year 4 librarian that I have come across since my career as a librarian who has achieved his silver certificate as well as working through his gold certificate.

The one task that most my librarians, working on their gold, leave till the very last, is their book review which needs to be read out at an assembly.  Now Cameron has completed this as his no. 1 task, which proves how dedicated this young man is.  I was completely blown away!

Cameron is very reliable and shows a lot of initiative.  He puts books away before being asked, he is always helpful and has a very positive approach to everything he does.

I really hope he will continue to be a librarian next year which I am pretty sure he will and I am looking forward to seeing his development in the library for 2015.
